Pedro Trujillo Carrasco was born in Chiapas, Mexico, and migrated to the United States with his family when he was six years old. He is a DACA-recipient and has lived in the United States for 20 years. While studying at California State University, Northridge in 2007, he became involved in the immigrant rights movement with the California Dream Network - the statewide youth branch of CHIRLA. Pedro started working with CHIRLA in 2012 as CHIRLA’s Wise Up high school organizer and became the Statewide Youth Organizer of the California Dream Network in the Summer of 2013. Pedro is passionate about education and immigrant student rights.
