Perla Esquivel is a staff attorney under the Executive Action/Administrative Relief program. After the opening of CHIRLA’s Pacoima Office in May of 2015, Ms. Esquivel took on the role of supervising attorney of that office, overseeing the legal department’s work in the Valley. Ms. Esquivel graduated from the UCLA School of Law in 2014, where she spent her summers as a law clerk with Bay Area Legal Aid and the National Immigration Law Center. She also participated in the Asylum Clinic, in partnership with Public Counsel. Prior to law school, Ms. Esquivel attended UC Santa Cruz, where she majored in Politics. Ms. Esquivel was born in Uruapan, Michoacán, and grew up a proud immigrant in San José, California.
