Yolanda joined CHIRLA in 2013, bringing a wide range of professional experience that included human resources, office management and event planning. She is currently the Director of Administration. After relocating from Washington D.C. to Southern California, Yolanda sought to continue contributing to the immigration cause in the non-profit sector following many years at the National Council of La Raza and Center for Community Change. Yolanda understands the immigrant story firsthand, having been raised in El Salvador and later reuniting with her parents in the U.S. in her teen years. She has completed certificate programs at Montgomery College and George Washington University, combining this academic background with more than two decades of administrative experience with prominent organizations in the nonprofit sector.
