Immigration headlines from the last week...

According to this WSJ article LouisvilleKentucky is growing because itwelcomes Bantu immigrants.  It is nice to see positive articles about immigration:

President Sarkozy's government in France has promised to deport 25,000 undocumented immigrants this year.  The raids incite fear in immigrant communities. 

 At the U.S.Border, the desert takes a rising toll.  Until the deaths in the desert end US immigration policy will be under stress. 

According to this op-ed in the Washington Post by Michael Gerson, Republicans have done themselves irreparable harm by their intolerant stance on immigration.
