Thank you to everyone who supported the students of CHIRLA's California Dream Network
in their week-long fast! The twenty-four courageous participants are eating again and feel
more energized than ever to continue struggling for just and humane immigration reform.

While the Senate has decided to stall a broader comprehensive immigration reform bill,
for 12 million people without legal status in this country, the fight is not over!

There still remains the strong possibility of passing important reform legislation this year.
One of the most widely supported reform bills still on the table is the DREAM Act, which
would offer a path to citizenship for immigrant students and allow them to fulfill their
dreams of going to college.

Your U.S. Senators have the power to give hope to thousands of immigrant youth who
graduate from high school each year.  Please tell them to pass the DREAM Act so that
