The Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved an ordinance to require new large home improvement stores to be responsive to day labor- related concerns;

“The declaration from City Council that day laborers deserve dignity and respect as workers and as human beings was nothing short of historic,” proudly remarked CHIRLA Day Laborer Organizer, Antonio Bernabe.
