Policy and Advocacy
Join our mission to achieve a just society fully inclusive of immigrants. We are the largest immigrant rights organization in California with a national impact. A member-based organization with almost 20,000 members who gives us the power to bring about positive change. Members and staff are the voices of CHIRLA, they are the core actors in the fight for immigrant rights.
We’re looking for candidates who are mission-focused, data-driven, and above all else, looking for a deeper meaning in their work. We also pride ourselves in hiring talented individuals from all walks of life and non-tech backgrounds. TaskRabbit will always remain a startup at heart with an aim to continue to have small groups of tight-knit teams working cross-functionally, learning from each other, and not being afraid to take on grand challenges.
Guided by the power of love, wisdom, and vision of community, CHIRLA embraces and drives progressive social change, being part of something meaningful creating a social impact. Who We Are
The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1986. CHIRLA is a California leader with the national impact made of diverse immigrant families and individuals who act as agents of social change to achieve a world with freedom of mobility, full human rights, and true participatory democracy. CHIRLA organizes and serves individuals, institutions, and coalitions to build power, transform public opinions, and change policies to achieve full human, civil and labor rights.
CHIRLA works with community leaders to advance policy platforms that urge all levels of government to invest in the potential of immigrants and refugees. CHIRLA fights for equality, inclusion, and representation. We Educate Organize Advocate for the rights of all immigrants.
