Daisy Flores was born and raised until her teenage years in El Salvador. Upon her arrival to live her family in Los Angeles she was faced with various challenges. Some that included having to learn a different language and assimilate into the main stream culture of the United States. Her challenges ignited her passion to share her learnings with the immigrant community and assist others on their assimilation transition. Daisy, has a Certificate in Business Administration from the Instituto Cultural Oxford from El Salvador.
Daisy worked in the non-profit sector for four years, before joining CHIRLA at the beginning of year 2017. She has been the Information and Referral Assistant ever since, and have received trainings on Worker’s Rights, Immigration Law, access to benefits and other issues of interest. Currently she handles hundreds of calls at the organization and effectively informs and connects callers with available community resources.
Daisy is an animal lover and in her spare time enjoys gardening, cooking and singing
