Diana was born in Guatemala and came to this country at the age of 2. Being the oldest in her family she knew at a very young age that she would have to work really hard to become a positive role model for her siblings. Growing up undocumented made this challenge even harder. However, this never stopped her from dreaming.
With hard work and the full support of her parents, she graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a BS in Finance, Real Estate, and Law and a minor in Italian. She later attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. While in law school, she co-founded CLIMB, a program designed to empower and encourage at-risk high-school students into higher education.
After obtaining her JD, she started working with the Legal Aid Foundation of LA (LAFLA) as a law clerk, where she gained experience in U visas, VAWA cases, and Naturalizations. Diana joined CHIRLA in March 2018, where she hopes to continue empowering people by assisting them with their immigration needs as well as educating them as to what their rights are.
