Greg is a long time CHIRLA employee who first worked for CHIRLA as an outreach worker in Ventura County to promote the legalization program in 1990. Since then he has worked in our citizenship project, communications, policy, community education and legal services departments. He also helped organize families of deported lawful permanent residents to seek policy changes and legal representation on local and national levels after the passage of draconian 1996 immigration laws.
Greg is a lifelong advocate and friend of immigrant and progressive movements. In addition to his work with CHIRLA he has taught classes to adult immigrants to assist them with English and government skills in their quest for citizenship and full political participation in our society. His students, coworkers and colleagues inspire him and restore his faith that a better and more just world is possible.
