Marisol was born in Bolivia and came to the United States as an 8-year-old. Marisol uses her experience as a former undocumented immigrant as motivation to help support those in need of immigration relief. Marisol's work focuses on immigrant rights and social justice.
Prior joining to CHIRLA, Marisol worked at Catholic Charities in San Francisco as an immigration legal assistant and Board of Immigration Appeals accredited representative to fight for refugee and immigrant services. She was also a legal advocate at Immigrants Rising (formerly E4FC) in San Francisco.
One of the reasons why Marisol loves working for CHIRLA is because she gets to help individuals achieve a status in this country which can then lead them to greater opportunities for them and/or their families in the future.
Marisol graduated from the University of California, Berkeley.
Marisol is a proud native of Los Angeles. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and enjoys watching basketball and soccer games.
