Maria galvan migrated with her husband and two daughters from Mexico City in 2000. Her and her husband provided for their family while being a great asset to this country. She became involved with Chirla in 2012 when she found out about DACA for her two daughters. She became a very active member and volunteer for CHIRLA after admiring the work and effort they put into the immigrant community. She worked hard to pass AB60 in 2013. She also helped pass AB241 in 2013. She grew as a leader in the San Fernando valley which led to being a community organizer for CHIRLA in 2015. She continues to fight passionately for immigrant rights and domestic workers rights in this country. She is a great role model for her family and wishes to teach her granddaughter hard work and dedication for the community.
