Richard graduated from the University of California at Irvine, with degrees in Economics and Political Science. He attended Whittier Law School. He has 14 years of private practice experience in the immigration field before coming to CHIRLA. He has won well over 60 trials and numerous cases on appeal. He has successfully argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He decided to come to CHIRLA in order to serve those in the immigrant community who cannot afford quality legal services. In his spare time, Richard follows politics and loves cumbia and hip-hop dancing.
