Sandy Benitez' passion for law has always stemmed from a commitment to social justice. Ms. Benitez was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised by her mother and grandmother who immigrated from El Salvador.
Ms. Benitez attended University of California, Riverside where she double majored in English and Psychology. During her time in undergrad, Ms. Benitez volunteered with IELLA legal Aid conducting intakes and translating during attorney client meetings. While pursuing her Juris Doctor at New England Law Boston, Ms. Benitez worked as a student prosecutor for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, as a student attorney for the school’s law clinic, and also interned with a local immigration attorney. Upon completing her degree, Ms. Benitez became licensed in Massachusetts. She began working as Staff Attorney for domestic violence agencies, and continued her work as a family law attorney.
Ms. Benitez has since returned to her home state of California where she has focussed her work on immigration law, primarily working with the Latinx community in Central and Southern California.
