CHIRLA's new Humanitarian Response Team is setting a national
standard for welcoming immigrants to California with compassion and efficiency.

As the lead organizer of the LA Welcomes Collective, CHIRLA has provided vital services to over 3,200 migrants, including 1,428 individuals arriving on buses from Texas. Their comprehensive support includes food, shelter, health assessments, legal orientations, mental health care, and family reunification. With life-informed case management, CHIRLA also assists Afghan nationals, offering culturally appropriate services to those seeking safety and a new beginning in the U.S. Their work ensures that all are met with dignity, hope, and opportunity.

A SAFE SPACE
TO REST IS A HUMAN RIGHT

One of the most difficult but life-saving gifts you can offer a migrant family is a temporary place to rest.  As migrants plan their next move in a complicated asylum process, having a place to stay is key for successfully integrating them in a community.  If you are interested in offering your home for a migrant to feel safe on a temporary basis, please donate below.  Thank you.
