iReliefFund

CHIRLA’s immigrant emergency assistance program, iRelief Fund, provides referrals to other relief programs as well as direct financial support to families in emergency need, regardless of immigration status, enabling them to cover essential expenses such as rent, food, gas, and transportation. CHIRLA ensures that every donation received is distributed to affected families, providing immediate relief during emergencies and natural disasters.

In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CHIRLA partnered with the state of California through the Disaster Relief Assistance for Immigrants (DRAI) program to provide one-time emergency assistance to 150,000 undocumented immigrants who didn’t qualify for federal stimulus ‘Cares Act’ or similar relief programs.

CHIRLA is dedicating all donations of the iRelief Fund to benefit the families impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles. Funds will be used to distribute emergency cash assistance for community members who do not qualify for FEMA assistance or other disaster relief.
