Volunteers and Interns power CHIRLA’s everyday work. It’s part of the civic action that results in systemic change. Volunteers and interns participate in and serve as security at marches and protests, table at events, canvass to get out the vote or the census, call and text to support ballot initiative campaigns, and help in myriad other ways.

We value the work and worth of every CHIRLA volunteer and intern.

Our Summer Internship Application will be active on CHIRLA's official social media platforms (Instagram & LinkedIn) from March 24, 2026, to March 31, 2026. Applications submitted past the deadline will not be considered.

 

  • Our Fall application will open in early September 2026. Please be on the lookout for the application on our social media platforms. 
  • Kindly refrain from sending resumes and cover letters via email, as they may be missed. Only application materials submitted through the official application will be considered.
