Fighting For A
Climate Just Future

A future where all people have the right to a clean and healthy environment in which they can live, work, and thrive.

CHIRLA's Climate Justice Department is dedicated to empowering immigrants on the frontlines of the climate crisis to foster an
alternative agenda for environmental, social and economic
justice. Through community education, research, policy and
organizing, we strive to transition away from extractive and
exploitative systems and toward life-sustaining systems that benefit everyone. Our commitment to the intersection of climate and immigration justice, gives us the unique insight of immigrant and indigenous wisdom to build a climate just future for all people and the planet
