BEWARE:
This is an enforcement tool that DHS is using to identify possible deportation targets. Before making a decision, it is advisable that you consult with a trusted immigration attorney to learn about potential risks involved if you register. Remember, you have the constitutional right to remain silent, talk to an attorney and to not sign anything if detained.
What is Registration?
On January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14159 ordering an implementation of the wartime Alien Registration Act of 1940 and more. This is now in effect and requires some undocumented individuals to complete a registration process with the immigration authorities, provide fingerprints and a verifiable address. Failure to comply could result in penalties including deportation.
