Jose Luis is half-time at the car wash where he’s worked for 16 years. He’s lucky—a dozen co-workers were let go thanks to COVID-19. He is undocumented, with no unemployment or health insurance. He worries about providing for his family if he lost his job.
Yazmin’s Story

Yazmin, a Cal State Fullerton student with DACA, tutors high school students and attends school online but fears falling behind. Her students don’t all have wifi, so they’re in the same boat. Her mother, a hotel worker, was laid off because of COVID-19.
Angela’s Story

Angela is a domestic caregiver with DACA studying child development at community college. Her company has not told clients about COVID-19 and has provided little protective equipment--only one box of gloves. Her boyfriend cleans buildings, but one closes for the crisis.
Andrés’s Story

Andrés, a tattoo artist with DACA idled by the COVID-19 crisis, continues attending Fullerton Community College online. His mother works in a garment factory alongside 200 other immigrant workers, but has no health insurance. Neither does he.
