CHAMPION AWARDS
CHIRLA’s Immigrant Champion Awards is our biggest fundraiser of the year; it brings together hundreds of community and elected leaders, advocates, supporters, and organizations to celebrate the contributions of immigrant champions in the integration of immigrants, and/or from the immigrant rights movement.
This year's Immigrant Champion Awards will celebrate immigrant champions who have made it possible for CHIRLA to start the process of purchasing and rehabilitating our permanent home: The Immigrant Welcome & Empowerment Center. To this end, we are launching the I Welcome Immigrants Campaign, which seeks to raise $35 million to create a state-of-the-art center, expand our services, and institutionalize California welcome programs for immigrants. We have already secured over $20,250,000 and need you to help us get to our goal. Together with YOU we can make our vision of welcoming immigrants with dignity, opportunity and love a reality.
