Diana is the product of hard working immigrant parents’ native from Puebla, Mx. She immigrated to the US at the age of one, ever since she has been passionate to serve the immigrant community. She attended Glendale Community College and transferred to Mount Saint Mary’s University where she graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. While studying at GCC in 2010, she became active in immigrant rights through her grassroots volunteer work canvassing in Pasadena and San Fernando Valley educating voters on pro-immigrant propositions. In 2011, Diana joined CHIRLA as a fellow for the Domestic Workers Committee, and then began to organize high school youth through CHIRLA’s Wise Up! youth branch. Today, she is honored to serve the immigrant community as CHIRLA’s Program Coordinator.
