Help Fund America's Family

COVID-19 continues to impact all our communities.

Like many, we have had to switch gears to bring our sets up to state standards to ensure the safety of our cast and crew. We are asking for contributions of any size to help us cover the rise in the post-production budget.

We are also sending a beautiful, handmade mask to an immigrant essential worker for every contribution that you make. We are thrilled to join forces with mask makers across the country to express appreciation for the immigrants working in our ICUs, driving delivery trucks, caring for elders, working in markets, and take-out and feeding us from the farm fields.

  • $100 =  5 homemade masks given to immigrant workers and their families
  • $250 = 10 homemade masks given to immigrant workers and their families
  • $500 = 20 homemade masks given to immigrant workers and their families

About CHIRLA Films

CHIRLA's new feature film,  America's Family, tells the story of the Diaz family as they thread their way through a maddening immigration detention system to reunite across the U.S.-Mexico border after a Thanksgiving ICE raid rips the family apart.

In its work to achieve a fair society fully inclusive of immigrants, CHIRLA uses know-your-rights tools that show immigrants’ struggles against an unjust system from the perspective of short- and full-length films telling dramatized stories drawn from real cases. These movies allow audiences, especially those not familiar with immigrants, to engage with our strife, our joys and our fears. Join our movement!

Contributions to CHIRLA are 100% tax deductible. CHIRLA is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization.
